The F/W25 Campaign of Ira Walendy was shot on the Rheinwiesen, close to her atelier in Düsseldorf. Shot and directed by Karla Gruss, the production made use of Bauhaus architecture and brutalist energies that stand for the city’s heritage and the designer’s upbringing.
Düsseldorf’s visual identity is rooted in clarity and structure, influenced by Bauhaus principles: functionality, simplicity, and modernist form. The campaign leans into this language, positioning the garments within stark geometries and concrete textures. The Rheinwiesen, once post-war refugee grounds and now expansive open fields along the Rhine, offer a quiet contrast: soft, shifting, and deeply tied to memory. Together, they frame a world where past and future, structure and softness coexist.
